Fanfiction net adult
Saturday, June 16, Two weeks ago, FanFiction. Net purged the site of much of the adult content, surprising many fan fiction readers and writers; leaving several archives on the Internet unprepared for a deluge of new users, problems continuing to this day. Net removed around 62, stories after a change allowing writers under the age of eighteen to register. According to alixe75 on LiveJournal's ffdotnetrants, FanFiction. That may not sound like much, but FFnet is big - that comes to thousands of stories.

There were two major removals of NC fiction from FanFiction. Both purges shook fandom, and much discussion ensued regarding rights and responsibilities of archives, rights of fans to be able to write and post what they liked, and more. Both purges also created fiction influxes into other archives. Three examples: FictionAlley , FanDomination. Net , and Archive of Our Own
FanFiction.Net's NC-17 Purges: 2002 and 2012
Net is a Multifandom Archive founded by Ayla Olsen. It hosts both fanfiction and original fiction and permits both non-adult and adult content. The 'adult' in its name references the fact that users of the archive must be 18 or over.
